Proofs & Artwork Approval:
Where you (the client) supplies the artwork, you are totally responsible for the quality and content of this artwork. We recomend you print out a proof if possible and check it, (it is often easier to pick up errors on a printed sheet compared to viewing on screen). Please note that colours on your printer will very likely vary in colour compared to our printer.
Where completes the artwork and supplies a proof, then we will do our best to provide a correct layout and send a proof to you. However it is your responsibility to carefully check this proof. Any errors within this artwork that is not found after proof approval, is not the fault of www.iprintonline.com.au. We will not be liable for printing errors if customers do not properly check the proof prior to print, this is why it is very important for you to check the proof thoroughly.
Once you place an order then we will proceed immediately to process your job. Any order you place which is cancelled, (and still not printed) shall have a cancellation fee of $40 applied. If you wish to cancel an order once printed has started then the full fee to the value of the order will apply.
Where you supply print ready artwork it should be supplied as a flattened pdf with bleed added.
Full Bleed (borderless printing) files must have a minimum of 3mm on all sides. For magazines and booklets 5mm bleed is required.
Please ensure artwork is correctly prepared. After placing your order, if you need to re-supply artwork for any reason whatsoever, there will not be any additional charges applied. We are not responsible for trimming variations caused by incorrect or insufficient bleed or creep or fold positions. Please see our bleed and fold information on this website and/or consult your graphic designer if you do not understand the requirements for bleed and folding.
It is also important to keep text at least 3mm away from the cut edge to ensure text is not cut off. There can be a +/- 2-3mm trimming or skew variance each side for all print jobs so it is important to adhere to this specification. We cannot be held responsible for any errors that may occur caused by artwork prepared incorrectly in this manner.
If a print job is to have laminating / celloglaze on 1 side, it is common for the card or paper to develop a slight curl due to air moisture getting into the card. To reduce the chance of this happening you should order items with laminate on both sides.
Artwork Produced by us
Copyright applies automatically to all artwork we have created. This includes logos, cartoons, photographs, layouts or any artwork we produce. We do not need to put a copyright notice on anything, it applies automatically. (Refer to the Australian Copyright Council for more information). The copyright symbol is only placed to remind people of the protection. If any of our original artwork is required a request must be directly sent to us and fees may apply.
We print all our jobs CMYK which is very different to RGB displays. (CMYK means cyan, magenta, yellow and black. These colours are mixed together during the printing process to provide a wide range of printed colours, whereas RGB means red green blue which is displayed on your computer monitor). The colour displayed on your monitor will very likely not exactly match the printed product. We are unable to offer exact colour matching on these products unless specific arrangements are made at the time of the order. Additional cost will apply for colour matching. Colours can vary from day to day, and even though we calibrate our equipment to achieve the best results, various conditions affect the way colours are printed. For this reason will not be held responsible for any print results not meeting the clients expectations.
Paper / Card Stock
Paper can vary between batches and suppliers. Thickness and weight variations can occur. Placing of an order through our system, confirms understanding of these possible variations. We reserve the right to substitute any paper or card with an equivalent type of gsm paper without notice. Stocks can also effect colours, so it is important to remember that a colour printed on one particular stock will often look different when printed on another stock. Laminating of stock will also change the appearance of colours.
Recycled Paper or Card often has a slightly greyer appearance to it.
Folding of printed cards, booklets & brochures
Paper and card stock can often crack on the fold line of a print job. However our special equipment reduces this chance as we pre-crease most problematic jobs with our digital folder. Some places will tell you cracking is unavoidable which is not totally true. With the right equipment you can reduce this substantially, although some minor cracking may be evident upon close inspection. We always aim to get the folding exactly correct, however there can be a folding and variance of plus or minus 2-3mm due to automated folding systems, so please allow for this when designing your artwork. A clever design will take this into consideration and reduce the chance of variations being noticed.
